Helping Start Ups Succeed
Barbara Eldridge here – to introduce you to Mind Masters Entrepreneur Association.
My co-director Debra Simpson and I wanted to share our reasons for starting MMEA. We both work with small business owners daily and experience the demands on entrepreneurs ourselves. Debra operates her on-line business from home, while I run meetings throughout the San Diego area weekly. We have both experienced the challenges of starting a business.
Over the years we have shared our knowledge and experience to business groups throughout Southern California. Debra demonstrates and trains on all the social media “stuff” at SCORE programs, chamber groups and many networking groups.
For 20 years I have introduced a wide range of business topics to my local Mind Masters groups, provided strategy sessions for client organizations and offered quarterly planning workshops to make sure everyone is focused on their goals.
Although most of our small business clients are already in business we have a local MEET-UP group called Employee to Entrepreneur to help start ups increase their skills, and skip the learning curve. The kind of hands-on help we have shared and asked other PROS to share at our meetings made us realize how many others needed the same kind of support.
Our mission for MMEA is to provide a vibrant on-line community so that start up entrepreneurs can grow their businesses and succeed in the ever changing marketplace.
Recognizing that you have a skill, training or hobby that you want to turn into a profitable business, is just a first step. Understanding the business of business is another.
Together we put our best foot forward and offer solutions to your challenges by offering resources, ideas that give you an opportunity to break through the fear and uncertainty of going into business alone.
